Approximately 100 witnesses saw over zealous Police hold at gun-point Pastor & Hallandale Beach Commissioner Saunders.

Commissioner Anthony Sanders is a native of Hallandale Beach, Florida. Commissioner Sanders was appointed to the City Commission by Mayor Joy Cooper, Vice Mayor Bill Julian and Commissioner Dotty Ross after resignation of Commissioner Francine Schiller.

Commissioner Sanders attended B.F. James Elementary, and Hallandale High School – Member of the first graduating class of 1977. He attended Broward Community College,Moody Bible and Fort Lauderdale Christian University from where he received a Bachelors Degree in Ministry.
